  1.             Amiga specific help file for NetHack 3.1

  3. The Amiga port of NetHack supports a number of additional commands
  4. and facilities specific to the Amiga.  Listed below are the things
  5. which are either specific to the Amiga port or might not appear
  6. in other ports.

  8. While playing NetHack you can press:
  9.  
  10.         ALT-HELP                To activate the palette editing
  11.                                 requester.  Saved games include
  12.                                 these settings of the pens to allow
  13.                                 the game to be resumed with the
  14.                                 same palette at a later date.
  15.  
  16. Amiga-specific run-time option:
  17.         flush                   throw away keyboard type-ahead
  18.  
  19. Recognized ToolTypes entries include the following:
  20.  
  21.         NAME=                   Character name.
  22.         SCORES                  Scores for all players.
  23.         SCORE=                  Scores for specified players.
  24.         CHARACTER=              Class of player (e.g. Rogue).
  25.         PENS=xxx,xxx,...        8 pen settings for game palette.
  26.         PATH=                   PATH for locating files.
  27.         OPTIONS=                Comma separated list of options.
  28.         HACKDIR=                Directory to play game in.
  29.         LEVELS=                 Where to store/create per level
  30.                                 data files.
  31.         SAVE=                   Where to save games.
  32.         SCREEN=LACE|NOLACE      Whether or not to play on
  33.                                 an interlaced screen.
  34.         CMDLINE=                CLI command line options
  35.                                 can be specified here.

  37. Command line options recognized are
  38.  
  39.         -n                      No News at game startup.
  40.         -X                      Play in discovery mode.
  41.         -W                      Play as wizard.
  42.         -L                      Interlaced screen.
  43.         -l                      Never Interlaced screen.
  44.         -u                      Play as player given as
  45.                                 an argument.
  46.         -?                      Gives command line usage.
